Aeroflot to launch flights to Bangkok From Irkutsk in January

Aeroflot plans to launch direct flights from Irkutsk to Bangkok beginning on January 18, 2023, the Russian national air carrier has said

Flights will operate to the Thai capital twice per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, respectively, using Boeing-737-800 aircraft. The flight time will be 6 hours 25 minutes.

Russia’s S7 Airlines currently operates flights from Irkutsk to Bangkok, and there are charter flights to Phuket.

Irkutsk is in southern Siberia, with a total regional population of 17.5 million. It is sited on the Trans-Siberian Railway, while the Bangkok routes are likely to be a popular winter destination for frozen Russian nationals. The current weather average in Irkutsk is -10 while in Bangkok it is +28.
